Disaster preparedness for pets

When a disaster occurs, only the owners can protect the lives of dogs and cats. The guidelines for disaster countermeasures for humans and pets established by the Ministry of the Environment also include “accompanied evacuation” in which owners and pets evacuate together.
If you prepare disaster prevention goods for pets along with the owner's disaster prevention goods, it will be safe in case of emergency.

carry
Not only when you evacuate with dogs and cats, but also as a relaxing living space (cage) at the evacuation destination.
It is important to get used to going out or using the house on a daily basis so that you will not be scared and cannot enter the carry when you evacuate.

For snacks, we recommend the type that can be eaten once and the subdivided type. You can also rehydrate with liquid type snacks. Make sure that you have tableware that is easy to carry and can be used anywhere.

Excretion
I would like to prepare a simple toilet, pet sheets for everyday use, and cat sand, but you can also use a toilet that substitutes cardboard and a plastic bag, or cat sand made by tearing newspaper.
Since many people gather in the limited space called an evacuation shelter, it is necessary to make sure that people around you do not feel uncomfortable. Let's take early measures for excretion and measures against odor.

toy
It helps release stress that tends to accumulate in an unusual environment. Let's prepare toys suitable for living in the shelter, such as those that can be played in a narrow place such as a cage, those that do not make a lot of noise, and those that can provide dental care.
